This new supper club really goes the distance. The upstairs restaurant is nice on the eyes but Chef John Keller hits this one out of the park. Dish after dish there were no disappointments Do you know what a Shishoto Pepper is??? I didn’t. But let me tell you, there is nothing hot and spicy about it and if you are a garlic lover, indulge! Pork Bellies cooked to perfection with crispy skins on the outside and tender on the inside. I could go on and on but you should check it out for yourself. Covet Lounge
Located 1 block west of Soho this new Trump Mega-giant has come through with flying colors. Keeping with the cool slick vibe of the neighborhood, the hotel is draped in warm soft tones and contrasting materials. But we didn’t come here for the lobby, we came for the party…For a few of us that only lasts until 8:00 p.m. for after that the hotel’s lounge, Kastels, becomes a “guest list only” door policy. So as usual, it’s not what you know but who you know. However, for the few of us of lesser priviledge, the 2nd floor library is the perfect place for before / after dinner drinks if combining your dinner plans with the wonderful Quattro restaurant. But the icing on the cake is spread out on the 46th floor where you are awed by the floor to ceiling windows encompassing the magnificent views of the city.
